Data Center Migrations, Consolidations and Ongoing Operations

ASI has provided data center operational support several of our clients that includes the full range of computer, network, security/information assurance, teleprocessing services, and application support required to meet operational objectives.

In addition to the daily operations we have provided engineering and logistical services in the migration of existing server environments to new locations for a managed services solution. This was done to better provide fully redundant 24/7 data center operations, while meeting all data center SLAs and objectives for business continuity. Our experience includes both operational data centers and disaster recovery facilities for government clients.

ASI has played key roles in the design, implementation, and support of several key projects for our clients in support of Data Center migrations and consolidations. Some examples include the deployment of a new, high-end VMware server farm, the virtual-to-virtual (v2v), and physical-to-virtual (p2v) migration of over 150 servers, and the conceptual design for the next VMware server farm; High I/O MSSQL.

In addition to our expertise and assistance, at all levels, and with all types of projects, ASI also plays a key role in the daily operational support and maintenance of the existing server farm of over 300 servers. We have provided support for all Windows operating systems, from NT4 to 2008, running on both physical, and virtual, hardware. We have provided guidance and support for Active Directory, MS SQL server, IIS, SharePoint (MOSS), Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM), in addition to many other COTS, and in house applications.
